I’m a London based graphic designer and have been for like forever (well since 2000), once owning my own creative agency. I now prefer to go alone.
I am always asked to "make me look good - work your magic". I hear this a lot. This normally means, take my work, make it look great and then give it back to me. I can do that.
Specialising in print work - stuff you can touch. Designing all types of brochures, reports, punchy one pagers, basically any layout needed and I do that in 'InDesign'. More popular these days is 'ISSUU', a digital magazine portal. I can do that too.
My photoshop skills are pretty up there I have to say. I am always retouching photos to enhance my clients products.
Logo design, which also brings in brand identity - choosing your colour palette and which font to use, where and when. I create brand guidelines for others internally to follow.
Another big part of what I do is 'PowerPoint'. It seems to be hard to find a designer that will go near it. I do. I use a lot of 'Photoshop' and 'Illustrator' work to make 'PowerPoint' not look like 'PowerPoint'... This seems to be most of my clients criteria.

Pages and layouts
Be it stationary, flyers, posters, annual reports, magazines/digital magazines, lookbooks/ebooks, concertinas/ accordions (fold outs) or interactive online documents. I am thriving. Creating the layout, typography/typesetting, rich graphics, icons and eye-catching less yawn inducing tables. yep.
Whether its publishing a beautiful document to go to print, or an immersive digital media experience, this is the area where I am most at home. I’ve been doing this for years.
I know I am in the right career when I am booked on one of these jobs as I REALLY enjoy myself, I look up and the last 8 hours have vanished.

More often than not, I get given a plain PowerPoint document, to 'Bring to life'. I do this by using a lot of Adobe “Photoshop” and “Illustrator.” Probably some stock photos, for sure some vector drawn icons and definitely some beautiful fonts.
Give me a load of dry old data and I can transform it into visual icons or eye catching graphs which can be digested easier by the reader.

BRAND IDENTITY
When it comes to brand identity I am super happy.
I’m not sure if everyone knows what brand identity means? What I mean is - I can design your logo, advise you where it should sit in each situation, stuff like that. Your colours - what and when to use them. Basically how you present yourself as a brand.
And fonts...

As a part of being a designer you want EVERYTHING on your project to look beautiful. This is sometimes made quite difficult when I am handed over some minging, low quality photo to go into my beautifully designed project. With enough time, I have to say I can perform most miracles in “Photoshop”.
Enhance that, lighten this, darken that, remove the dog hairs, whiten their teeth, clean their nails. Sharpen, blur, take that off and replace with this. Straighten these and tone down those. Adjust, crop, remove, repair. Sure, just give me sec.
